Calm Your Kids are proud to offer mindfulness and meditation classes as another form of relaxation for children and a way to develop their concentration, imagination and overall health and wellbeing.
The Calm Your Kids Mindfulness and Meditation Classes are designed to introduce children and adolescents to the concepts of mindfulness and meditation and their physical and mental benefits. Simple yet meaningful exercises are introduced at each class and the opportunity to practise is provided to allow each individual the time to just be, whilst also making them comfortable with the exercises so they can be used outside their classes and throughout their day.
The CYK Mindfulness and Meditation Classes incorporate imaginative visualisations, breathing awareness meditations, progressive muscle relations and mindfulness exercises such as Melissa's own Five Senses grounding exercise.
Classes are held for individuals and small groups in a comfortable and relaxing environment. The meditation techniques and mindfulness activities are taught slowly and at a level that is appropriate to each child's age and ability. The meditation techniques are purely for relaxation value and their benefits are recognised by Psychologists and Medical Practitioners.
